4 Kitchen Hacks for Life with a Newborn

  1. I find it funny that a friend of mine also said the same thing on eating out. Lol. She keeps on saying that she always prefer eating out these days so that the mess won’t be her problem anymore. :)) Sneaky. Anyway, good read!

Good. To. Know. I especially love the bit about eating outside when you can. We always stocked up on disposable dishes before ours were born so when all of the help left, we could go as long as we could without having to wash anything. 🙂 (Also, your mention of tacos made me hungry!) Your last tip is my favorite though… so hard to remember when you want life to be as normal as you can get it. Thanks for the advice!

  3. Alicia says:

Have your big kids help as much as possible! I have 4 kids (ages 7, 5, 3 and 10 months). They are great about getting things out of the fridge (it’s hard to bend with a baby in a sling) and putting things away. That might seem obvious, but asking for more help from our bigs made a difference this last time around.

    • Yes, totally! I am just to the point (oldest is 5…and a boy) where the kids can start helping. Yesterday they “did the dishes” while i was nursing the baby. I had a lot of cleanup afterward, but I was thrilled they were in-tune with the fact that work needed to be done.
