  2. Nancy, I absolutely LOVE this post. Your writing style has such an ease to it, and I was swept away by your poetic descriptions and gorgeous photographs. I also couldn’t help but think of one of my favorite quotes: “Creativity is messy, and I’m very creative.” I TOTALLY embrace the messes of my craft projects, and I look forward to one day embracing the messes my kids create. This reflections in this post give me so much to look forward to!

{Oh, and on a sidenote, not sure if you know Laura from The Experimental Home? But she’s starting a Monday Mess Movement, and I’m sharing my mess on her blog this Monday. Anyway, you should consider joining in on the messy fun one week. I feel like it’d be right up your alley: http://www.theexperimentalhome.com/the-monday-mess-movement/)

    • Lauren, you really know how to pick up a girl’s spirits! Thank you so much for your words here, and thanks for the tip! I definitely belong in the mess movement. You are the best!

Nancy, I just love this post and the realistic pictures you’ve included! Touches my heart 🙂 My kids have far too many boring days it seems as they’ve gotten just a bit older- I need to be helping them get dirty even more! My youngest has often played in his own flour bucket while I bake bread- it makes a huge mess all over the floor! But it sweeps up no problem and he gets to play in the bath after as result- no. big. deal. These are my favorite moments too 🙂 You are a great Mom, my friend 🙂

    • Oh, Sky, I really love that you shared this here–and I’m sure life in your house and with your boys is anything but boring! I hope that one day we have a chance to meet, have a coffee, and chat about all the ins and outs of motherhood together. I love that you are my bloggy buddy!
