Blanket Stitch Tutorial

Hello friends!

Today I’m excited to share a blanket stitch tutorial–a video that will (I’m confident) allow you to master this oh-so-important stitch.

I use blanket stitch again and again–and it is the stitch that I have the most questions and concerns about.  

I hope you find the video tutorial helpful–and keep in mind, my stitching is never perfect–but that’s part of the homemade charm, right?

I am sharing this video tutorial today because lately I have been working on some REALLY BIG projects, and (clearly) had very few smaller projects to share here.  

So, in the meantime, I thought I should make a few videos that demonstrate some embroidery skills.  

I only have 3 now: this blanket stitch tutorial as well as 2 other cross stitch videos.

As I said in the video, the stitch is really easy once you get the hang of it.  Blanket stitch is the trickiest with that first stitch.  

And, as with most types of embroidery, practice makes perfect.

In fact, at the moment I am in the middle of a couple of BIG projects where blanket stitch plays a major role.
