I really love watercolor (thanks mom!), both for creative projects of my own and for the creative projects I do with my kids.
Although they are only 1 and 2 years old, both of my kids really love watercolor or as they say, water paint.
My little girl just needs a little help keeping the brush out of her mouth!
All of these projects I found are not only beautiful be great for kids or adults.
After that project and looking through all of these ideas and techniques I plan on water-coloring a lot!
I’m a total novice at watercolor, however.
But one of my goals is to improve my watercolor skills.
To do this I am working my way through No Excuses Watercolor: Painting Techniques for Sketching and Journaling and loving it!
I keep thinking, “Oh my goodness, I’m pretty good at this!”
If you have ever thought about actually learning to watercolor, get the book, stop making excuses and enjoy.
I am so glad I did!
I hope you enjoy all of the projects and, as always, if you see something here that you want to pin for later, please be sure to pin from the original post, not from here.
Thanks!

Wasn’t that fun!
Watercolour projects are my favourite type of projects. I’ve done several before, but I haven’t really executed the technique properly yet.
Amazing post! Great projects!
Very nice website. I was particularly touched by your love for and painting of your Godmother’s portrait. My feeling is that you are a very devout woman and a devoted wife and mother, someone I would feel pleased to know. Keep up the splendid work. I too, in my own humble way, would love to touch people spiritually with my paintings. I am self-taught in watercolors, which I have been at for a little over a year now, and steadily improving. Would that God’s glory be magnified in whatever we achieve through art. May God’s peace be always with you and your loved ones.
Thank you for sharing these, I’m inspired to just make time to do this. I’m curious what brand or type of watercolors you use?
I use Pelikan Opaque Watercolor Paint Set and they are AWESOME. You can find them on amazon.

Did you create this website yourself? Please reply back as I’m
