Hello all!
Here is a project I shared over at Sugar Bee Crafts a few weeks back. I still love it, and have my coffee sitting on one of them right now!
Enjoy!
This is a super simple project that will add a little funky charm to your living room.
(Is there any other kind of charm than funky charm?!?) And plus, they are really fun to make!
Just a little side note before we get to the project: I draw inspiration from all sorts of places and this project was inspired by all the “free motion” sewing/quilting I have been seeing.
I don’t have a free-motion foot for my machine yet, but it is definitely on the list and the good news is that this project was easy to do without a free-motion foot!
I am drawn to projects that are “messy”, so the free motion sewing is right up my alley.
So, who’s ready to make some CRAZY felt coasters?
Supplies:
Here’s the how-to:
And…done!
Pour yourself a cup of tea, grab your book and relax!
I love it! This project is a nice marriage of craft and art!

Love it! Do you think they would turn out just as good without using wool felt? I only have acrylic on hand.
Yes! A few of my friends used acrylic and were happy with the results!
Nancy –
Love this project & have been making these with my sewing students this week.
I also blogged about it (http://valzcorner.blogspot.com/2014/12/fun-felt-coasters.html) & added links back to your website.
Thank you!

I saw these on Amy’s page, and really just love them. I commented on her post, but wanted to stop by here and also tell you they are so MOMA-esque – they remind me of Kandinsky art! Pinning!
You inspired me to make my own coasters. See them here http://organized31.blogspot.com/2013/04/if-super-heroes-used-coasters.html

Oh my gosh, these are SO SO FUN! Love them!! Pinning, stumbling…
Lo-ove these! Maybe it’s the craziness or maybe because I think I could actually handle the sewing, but I’m gonna give these a try.
