Lent is such a special time to reinvest in family and prayer. I find special joy in introducing my families to the treasures of the Church. After all, you don't have to be a monk to pray like a monk!

One of these treasures that serve families so well is the Daily Examen. Developed by St. Ignatius roughly 500 years ago, the Daily Examen is a beautiful way to review your day as a family and share about the big and small ways that God is active and working.

To help you also bring the Daily Examen to your family, we will be spending all week talking about the Examen on the Podcast and we are thrilled to offer a storybook version for the examen called the FAMILY EXAMEN.

If you find yourself scrolling on your phone, looking for something to do...I encourage you to look up the story of Our Lady of Fatima (even if you've already heard about it).

The story of a famous miracle in Fátima, Portugal, began in May 1917, when three children (ages 7, 9, and 10) claimed to have encountered the Virgin Mary on their way home from tending a flock of sheep. The oldest girl, Lucia, was the only one to speak to her, and Mary told the children that she would reappear to them on the thirteenth day of the next six months.

She then vanished.✨

Jacinta and Francisco Marto were the two other children to encountered Our Lady along with Lucia.

If you find yourself feeling anxious or worried about our country or the world, let us be reminded of how we bring peace to the world:
1. Be sorry for what we've done wrong; put God first in our lives.
2. Pray the Rosary each day for peace.
3. Make sacrifices for sinners so they will know and love God.
