We are so pumped about the BE A SAINT KIDS CLUB and we just can’t wait to get started. Still thinking about joining? Get all the details here:
Today, however, I am excited to share an overview of this year in the BE A SAINT KIDS CLUB. Each month, we will be looking to a different saint for an example of holiness and receive from them 4 different challenges that will help us get to work following their example.
And so, here’s what you can expect this year!
September with Blessed Carlo Acutis
Carlo will get things started by inspiring us to memorize the Morning Offering and recommit ourselves to the Eucharist through Adoration and learning about Eucharistic miracles.
October with Saint Therese
In October, Therese will link arms with Mary and ask us to memorize the Hail Holy Queen and rededicate ourselves to the Rosary. Therese will also challenge club members to do small things with great love and grow in holiness with our whole family, like she did.
November with Saint Martin de Porres
Martin de Porres stops by in November to help us memorize a prayer for the dead, teach us the proper respect for animals, practice the corporal works of mercy, and pray for an end to racial discrimination.
December with Saint Cecilia
In December, Cecilia will be our guide in memorizing important scripture for Advent, praising God through song, and respecting our bodies.
January with Saint Andre Bessett
Andre Bessett is the saint for January. Following his example, we will memorize Scripture, practice hospitality, learn about St. Joseph, and boldly pray for a miracle.
February with Saint Josephine Bakhita
Josephine Bakhita will inspire us to forgive, worship Jesus fully present in the Holy Eucharist, pray for those who are enslaved, and memorize the Anima Christi during February.
March with Blessed Peter Kibe
The incredible Peter Kibe joins the club in March to help us memorize the Surrender Prayer, make a pilgrimage, and discern our vocation.
April with Saint Joan of Arc
My dear friend, Joan of Arc, is April’s saint. With her help, we will memorize the concluding prayer of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, grow closer to our friends in heaven (the saints,) and get to work fighting for good.
May with Saint Damien of Molokai
Damien of Molokai joins us in May, along with Mary. Together they will inspire us to memorize the Memorare, plant a Mary garden, organize our possessions, and practice offering physical affection to those in our lives that need it.
June with Saint Kateri
We dive into summer in June with Kateri. With her help, we will memorize the Come Holy Spirit Prayer, renew our baptismal promises, commit to resting on Sundays, and take a nature walk.
July with Blessed Pier Giorgio
With the help of Pier Giorgio in July, club members will memorize the Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, be brave and invite our friends to pray with us, practice generosity toward the poor, and commit to praying for our parents.
August with Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross
Our year in the BE A SAINT CLUB ends in August with Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, also known as Edith Stein. Following her example, we will memorize the St. Michael the Archangel Prayer, commit to reading the Bible, make a Holy Hour(s), and pray for those suffering with mental illness.
Wow oh wow! What a year it will be!
I am so excited to get started. And, as I’ve mentioned, we will be exploring all these themes even more completely on the Catholic Sprouts Podcast in the hopes of motivating you to go deeper and commit to continuing in these practices long after the club is over.
We are still enrolling club members if you are interested in joining us!
Want to enroll your group, class, or large family? Awesome! We offer 20% off for groups of 10 or more when they are enrolled all together!
Got a question? Just hit reply. I’m right here, on the other side of this email, eager to chat about it.
Thanks, as always, for your support.
In Christ Jesus,
